Bonterra Vineyards — 2005 Chardonnay

Bonterra crafted this wine from grapes harvested mainly near the banks of the Russian River, and stresses the less-oak-more-crisp philosophy of Chardonnay blending. Baffling, considering that the predominant notes were plump tropical fruits, sweet flowers, and spice, but we’ll just shrug our shoulders and chalk it up to personal interpretation.
